Possible to automate bypass/disable filters?

I have a delay-filter in a track I only want to apply for some seconds. (T2)

I could automate the dry/wet settings, but easier would be to automate the bypass/disable function.

Is this possible somehow?

I don't know if it's possible or not - but wouldn't it be easier to lay off the section concerned on another track?

Right, didnt think about that one.

But as I am tending to loose overview with more tracks I`m still interested in disabling FX automated.

Would be cool but its not possible yet.

Create a clip by cutting the track and apply the delay to the clip only.

would only work if the delay was on an audio track and not part of the effects chain on a MIDI > VSTi track though ...

(short of rendering and then splitting / per-clip effecting)

Yes, forgot to mention that I'm talking about MIDI > VSTi Track.

Another solution would be inserting the delay in a return track with 100% wet and automating the send amount.

So you can automate send amount then????

What about for those of us still using T1 can I automate the send amount to a delay using senderella???

Can I assign a MIDI CC to record the automation on that send???

What I wan't to achieve is to be able to ride a midi knob to control the sends along the whole track to automate effects, reverbs, delays etc., ...Is there an easy way to do this??? Or do I have to wait untill T2 to make something like this happen???
