Let me know how you get on...

OK,
Here's my rackless, lame entry, but using T1 plugs for those of us who haven't yet upgraded.

OK here's my entry. You can hear the results in this small mp3
www.show.gr/zeoy/zeoy_TracktionDrumsChallenge.mp3
If you are interrested here's a zip file containing the Tracktion archive, 5 sfz files (NS kit splitted into kick, snares, hihats, toms, cymbals - NO WAVS) and a readme.txt with instructions.
www.show.gr/zeoy/zeoy_TracktionDrumsChallenge.zip
Note that I broke the rules a bit and used jcm900 and rednef from guitar suite (freeware) too. All other effects are from mda or native Tracktion plugins
Cheers

Wow, you learn something new every day. I couldn't get pHz's to play when I imported it, then I realised it was on track 10. Figured this was because traditionally drums are on ch10. What I didn't know is that Tracktion actually puts the names of the default drums on the piano roll! Nice.
(awesome beat, too)

@zeoy: I downloaded it and unpacked it but when I read your instructions I realized it reqired additional work on my part (coping the waves and downloading additional plugins) so I gave up, why not keep it simple?

So you are really Dr. Lazydrlazy wrote:@zeoy: I downloaded it and unpacked it but when I read your instructions I realized it reqired additional work on my part (coping the waves and downloading additional plugins) so I gave up, why not keep it simple?
If you want my opinion the additional work is worth it. You will see how you can proccess NSkit parts separately which is crucial if you want flexibility. It was one of my main questions regarding drums and some kind people here helped me to achieve this. Regarding the additional plugins the guitar suite is a must have bundle. Of course I agree that I could have kept it more simple but didn't want to sacrifise the flexibility of this approach.
Anyway, thanx for trying.
Cheers
