Soundsets I'd like for Eve 1

here's my wishlist for soundsets i'd like for eve 1:
- Ethnic: some reedy middle eastern pipes, detuned strings, deep mountain horns etc. but please NO bagpipes or damn sitars. of course this set would come with appropriate micro-tunings. and while i hate to criticise other dash products, i think a good eve soundset could easily surpass the sad instrument with is knagalis. the conversion of the knagalis soundset shows how little content there is in that synth anyway.
- Big pads: A pure analog set which concentrates entirely on big pads & drones. Huge pads are cpu-destroyers in synths like zeta, so anything which can do looooong release big pads at minimum cpu hit are very valuable. the evalon set went part way to this, but let's get serious about pads - they're an eve specialty !
- A real instrument: Doesn't particularly matter which instrument, but how about a set of per-note sampling. maybe a harp, french horn, or guitar ? But top-quality samples up there with the kompakt-based sample instruments, not rinkty-tink.
Anyone care to add there three top set votes (with reasons) ?

Here's mine:
- classic CMI Fairlight and Fairlight II sounds: While most romplers have some Fairlight sounds in their factory presets, there's nothing around solely dedicated to this instrument. And I like those Peter Gabriel/Art of Noise sounds.
- Emulator II: especially those classic hits.

I like the idea of dedicated soundsets focussed on particular 'timeless classics', such as the melltronix (my next purchase), and moog sets already available.
I really want to see the 'Solina' HQS set released that kpr talked about some while back.
I would also be interested in a dedicated Fairlight set. Another thing, I would also like a dedicated 'waveforms' set with sampling per note or close to it, for a range of saws, triangles, pulses, etc etc from classic analog synths.
As for Cabinfever's call for a real instrument, how about an extensively sampled Rhodes or Wurlitzer EP? I mean velocity layered and extensive sampling across the keyboard for an expressive playable instrument. I think EVE ONE is ideally suited for this in terms of onboard effects. I am always looking for a better Rhodes sound!!

You´re right, this would be good. "Solina" is already completed in NI Kontakt format, so actually it´s only a data conversion job, plus a couple of Presets. Perhaps I should ask the T3s for this.pw wrote: I really want to see the 'Solina' HQS set released that kpr talked about some while back.

sounds great kpr. And what about my other request for a dedicated 'waveforms' set? Lots of raw waveforms, like in the EVE default and AOS soundsets, but sampled at every note especially in the lower octaves.

I second that, maybe I can do some presets in that category.Cabinfever wrote:

And kpr, maybe I can do some for the solina set too?
I´ll have a look at the eve again and see what comes up.
Tho I´ve never converted samples too the eve format and have no idea how it´s done.
But maybe luigi will help.

yes, yes, a high-quality 'big pads' set please. if any synth can pull this off with low-cpu hit and good audio quality, it's eve one

Hi cabinfever
I had a short look at eve and tried some drone pad sounds.
I made a simple mp3 where only one preset is used and no additional FX or mastering.
It is not the best musical stuff
and only live recorded.
But I think it shows how good eve can be at pads and drones
and it uses almost no cpu on my P4.
I´ll surely will do more presets.
get the example here

Sure, Paul, this is still on our to-do list. I´m a bit surprised about all the wide spreaded instruments requests for EVE, actually I thought that EVE is still a vintage instruments ensemble, but obviously she´s getting adolescent nowpw wrote:sounds great kpr. Vintage or otherwise, Eve is a wonderful sound player with a lot of capability, very little on the system resources, and no #$@!* copy protectionkpr wrote:Sure, Paul, this is still on our to-do list. I am interested in vintage sounds for EVE ONE, I am starting to think of it as a time capsule.kpr wrote:Sure, Paul, this is still on our to-do list.
