I was quite happy with the sound font player in T2, but decided to give the rgc audio sfz player a try....damn it...internal error, blah blah, other files may be damaged, blah, blah.

I now have no midi input from my keyboard for any synth I load on a track, I can only play the notes on the midi input keyboard with the mouse.

Ive reinstalled T2, but still no go.
PC, Win xp, :help:

Maybe end-to-end got dissabled some how. Make sure it is enabled both for the midi device (by selecting the device, and choosing end-to-end in the propeties panel), and also make sure the master end-to-end button is activated (lower right corner). When you have a CPU overload or something weird like that, end-to-end will be automatically dissabled to save CPU power.

Thanks AD80

Both e-to-e's are enabled, I wish it were that simple.

And on top of everything, I forgot to save my sf2's out side of T when I uninstalled,....I will now cry myself to sleep

uninstalling t2 deleted your sf2s? That shouldn't happen - if it does its a serious bug!

Sorry to hear that. Uhm, how about enabling, dissabling your midi devices in the preferences page? Maybe that will kick start it again. Or maybe re-installing the midi drivers for the device.

Anything in the Tracktion folders would be removed when you unninstall no? Doesnt sound like a bug to me.

That may not be a bug. But it is RUDE! A polite installer / uninstaller would only mess with files it installed. As they say in the biz, lazy programmers.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Yes, you are right! But who saves his personal files in the program files path, anyway? I never did it under W98 and under W2k/Wxp it shouldn't happen at all - IF the users would start their PC correctly *without* admin grants! The "personal files" folder is is the correct place for your own stuff!

But I feel with you, rivrock! It's pretty sh*** to lose precious files that way! :(

:D Im back in business, I reinstalled drivers, still no go, made another pot of tea, and pondered awhile,...then pressed this button, 'allow midi controller remapping', turned it off,....that was all it needed.

I then loaded my clavinova grand tarted up with a bucket full of glaceverb, and cranked up the volume..... :ud:
