Of course, I'd like to see those bugs fixed, too.

One point: Tracktion is not a major sequencer...yet.Lunch Money wrote:Let me rephrase that-- how could a newcomer to the program, who wasn't here for the 'forward-thinking' download-only version, be surprised, when ALL OTHER major sequencers are NOT download-only.

But fine if you consider it to be. Your opinion. But then I guess we can start comparing it to the bugfixing festival at Ableton again....
We've been there before and apparently it's a moot point, so I'd better get over it already. Right?

Happy to be an adversarial brother.....
Oh and yeah...I did miss the posts as they were coming so thick and fast, but I'll just let my post stand for the sake of archiving it for future generations of T5 users...

Without wanting to stoke the fire again, as I really like that the heat's gone out of this thread
Just like to point out that Reason & Live have a coherent online and boxed versions distribution policy.
Case in point Reason3 had a major facelift to the Gb Sound Libraries - I agree multi-Gb downloads are silly. But I got to Reason 3.0 from Reason 2.0 (via Reason 2.5 and multiple "dot" upgrades) after not having to get a boxed upgrade for over 2 years.
Both Ableton & Propellheads are very clear and strong on exisiting customer support particularly on the "dot" releases, interaction on bugs and major increments in some cases (Reason 2 -> 2.5 was online only for example).
In particular Id like to see where and when things are available for online download. Mackie - please take note - I'm not wilfully groundhogging - but it would help if there was a support link where you could see what the latest release was - the Mackie T downloads page is a complete mess.
There does need to be easily accessed Bug/Workaround resource somewhere - if truly T has moved on from the likes of eXT then something a bit more than searching KVR RMS mail threads is appropriate. How about a Sticky thread ? - it isn't bad for sales chaps ..... see how Ableton are setup, I'd venture that it isn't hurting their sales a bit - http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=forum - I think it's a sign of a grown-up company.
I'm a supporter not a knocker, I beleive in T's design goals and have made more music with it than I ever did with Sonar or Logic - Come on Mackie let's get this thing moving !!!!

I'm desperately trying to think up some clever line to make this thread crumble into dust. instead I thought about this image

edit: Image changed due to fear of being labeld as a troll (which was never my intention, and I sincerely apologise to everybody I might have offended.)

I'm not gonna ask what the first one was like, but I like that lawnmower! Nice!

IIts my daughter, using the new and improved lawnmover.
I do have a before picture aswell, when the lawnmover is just plain dull.
And it's actually a heck of a lot faster with them flames on!
