I can rewire reason to ableton live, and record what reason plays back as audio in live.
My question is can you do this in T2 easily.
I have tried changing the audio output of the rewire track to an empty track, but when i record no audio is recorded.
Any help would be great.

I think its acutally easier than in Live (or atleast faster). Just put an empty clip (G) on the rewire track you want, and render it like you would any other midi clip.

Its is actually pretty easy:
On your rewired track with midi in it, select the track name, in the info section down below, click render track->render into the project directory->add rendered tracks and that will create a new track of the rendered audio for you
