Damn stupid ride cymbal!rockstar_not wrote: Alex James - Slow Down Jackie
Leonard Cohen meets 60's TV show theme. The only thing I would change is to drop the ride cymbal during the tom runs.

Creepy thoughts, yet majestically composed. Surely you could score some soundtrack work with stuff like this.

Thanks!!rockstar_not wrote: Gregjazz - Four Flavors of Guitar
0:00-0:30 flavor 1, generic crunch
0:30-0:54 flavor 2, satch
0:54-1:10 flavor 3, namesake guitar
1:10-1:50 flavor 4, a little high landrons-Eric Johnson
There you have it, 4 flavors, aptly named tune.
Yup, it was kind of hard to make it simplerockstar_not wrote:sttjelle - Sunday
Big surprise here - expected another big orchestral arrangement and instead got a nice Cliff Richard - at least that's what I hear.
Hehe - I don't know what to say. Thanks for the literary criticism? This isn't really a review of the song, is it?rockstar_not wrote: hovmod - record deal
You don't really feel that way do you hovmod? I wouldn't mind at least trying a deal to see if this is the way it made me feel in the end; figuratively of course.
Hey Rockstar_not! Thanks buddy!beardedone - It's a Deal
Master of the interesting lead interval beardedone strikes again.
As with the comments you made 20 or so pages back on my tune, your words require pause and reflection - albeit in a much different manner. I had to stop and think about if I or any fellow KVRian would feel this way about a record deal.Hovmod wrote:Hehe - I don't know what to say. Thanks for the literary criticism? But like I said in my review of Loser, when the words are in your face, they take your focus away from the music. That's why I usually prefer songs with meaningless words, or a language I don't understand (Sigur Ros has a huge advantage there). Only the most accomplished poets can get away with a song lyric, and there's only one Tom Waits...
Anyway, I don't really feel like this about record deals (well, maybe... Frank Zappa has conditioned me to be cautious), and this isn't really my style of music either. I just thought I'd try to stand out in a month where I expected a lot of RnB and HipHop.

SO may your pool (??indoors, right as you live in Denmark) overflow with Euros and your party gatherings be stimulating and warm - maybe you can get DonkeyTugger to play live....![]()
Cheers,

Patrick 9 - Sunshine
nice bit of cheeky pop. Interesting rendition of probably the 2nd most used chord progression of all time, the I, VImin, IV, V
