Musician's Friend - WTF?

I just got the most recent Musician's Friend catalog and T2 isn't included with all the other music software, but relegated to the back pages with Hot Deals and Closeouts. This is the first edition I've even seen it listed. Mackie should definitely complain.

Ummm...uh...Do they say it's a Hot Deal, or, umm... a Closeout?!?

Nope, it's just surrounded by 'Hot Buys' (sorry, not deals) and 'Closeouts' and refurbished, mail in rebate deals. It's definitely the graveyard of gear at Musician's Friend.mandolarian wrote:Ummm...uh...Do they say it's a Hot Deal, or, umm... a Closeout?!?

The other software products all have a decent description as well, while T2 is limited to 'Easy, intuitive recording and sequencing!' Essentialy 5 words vs 40 words. It's also badged with 'Free BBE Sonic Maximizer Plug In (a $130 value)'.

I consider MF the Wal Mart of online music stores. I don't think they gave it a proper chance, I mean, the FIRST TIME it is available via the catalog and it's with the closeout stuff? C'mon, that's just not fair.mandolarian wrote:Arrggg...I feel so cheap and easy now.

Can you expect much better from a GC subsidary?
Could be worse. What if Mackie's infamous web video was turned into a full length infomercial and broadcast at 3 in the morning on the Weather channel. Operators are standing by.

So assuming you're right and we had the power to kill Tracktion, what would it be worth to you to keep Live alive?

I wonder how it's selling at Guitar Center and online, maybe that determined the catalog treatment
