TTom: hooray!

Not at all, nothing personal taken-- I was sure I knew who you were responding to. ;)
I'm sorry I just can't agree that the original poster was trying to do anything other than use evidence of sales to criticize T2's critics.
Well... I'd have to agree that he was criticizing T2's critics. :D
The implication is that if the complaints we read here were founded, it wouldn't be doing so well on MF and Sweetwater. I don't believe I've seen users complaining that the development of T2 has hurt its sales.
I wouldn't go that far. I think you're right that he was responding to T2's critics, but as a betting man, I'd bet that he meant it simply as "Get off Mackie's back, all y'all!" rather than getting into the specific nitty-gritty of individual complaints regarding T2.
It was a pissy, unproductive post that deserves to be responded to as I have responded to it. That being said, your response is well-intentioned and much appreciated.
Unproductive posts are the bread and butter of this forum. <chuckle> There are just as many unproductive posts by the critics, so when there's one criticizing the critics, it seems to me to be a case of what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I can't say that I found it particularly useful, either, but that's about 95% of the posts around here and on all internet forums worldwide. ;)

Just playing Devil's advocate. Except in this case, it's TT that's the Devil. :hihi:

My own post may have been thought-out and considered THIS time, but you'll see unproductive posts by me plenty enough. :D

To teh guy with the monitor:

You need to have it on the right reresh rate for your resolution. My monitor will only look right if it's on 1280x1024 at 60hz, try different refreash rates and blacks will look more 'black'.

Out of curiosity, which brand did you get? I bought a 19" Dell Ultrasharp but despite top reviews it had terrible color representation and 'grey/purple' for 'black'. :( Would rather hear from people who are happy with theirs than go by reviews on e-commerce websites, which has been refund-tastic.
Acer. 8 Ms refresh rate! I'm not super picky, though. I lerned about the specs and made the choice the same day. I've only had it a couple hours, but am loving it compared to my 17" CRT. :)
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

I'm surprised people are being so obstinate about this. I don't have an opinion about whether Tracktion 2 is better or worse than T1. I don't have an opinion about whether it is being developed quickly enough. I love Mackie as a company and am about to get another of their mixers.

TTom is trying to point to sales to show that Mackie hasn't hurt Tracktion. He's suggesting that it's sales are representative not only of it's quality, but that these sales figures show the wrongness of the people on this forum who criticize it. His statements are hot tempered and illogical. I decided not to let what I saw as might makes right thinking go uncommented on.

If someone wants to start a thread (or even point me to one) where the functionality, features, and value of T2 are praised I guarantee you won't find me refuting a single post.

For the record, I wasn't saying Mackie is killing T2 because a lame ass dealer like Musician's Friend has it in the bargain area of their catalog. It was a complaint about MF, not Mackie.

I will have to disagree with you there. The fact is that our world - and let's face it, the United States of America in particular - is populated by highly inteligent people who know quality when they see it.
Related to this point is the fact, long known to most of us here, that Dance eJay is best piece of professional music production software on the planet.

Yeah, just look at George Bush. Real quality moron there.

Actually, I was thinking about politics as I wrote my last post, but didn't want to cheapen my argument by mentioning it.
