Yahoo!!!!!
Can't wait to try it out - I have a gig tonight so will do it tomorrow afternoon.
First question....Is there a list anywhere of plugins that work on Receptor using the new unsupported method? Since the release notes mention NI, specifically....do Kontakt 2 and/or Elektric Piano work?

The list of new plugins will not be available until 1.3 final. As for Kontack2 we are thest this now, I have not yet seen Elektric Piano.

Phil,
I would like to make it clear that 1.3 will not make Kontakt or Kompakt run faster, but it will allow you to use more RAM. I don't think it will be dramatic, but it should be noticeable.
In particular, I think you will be able to load a slightly larger piano with DFD turned off. I have not tried Kontakt 2 yet, but I hope it is more efficient and it will produce another bump in performance.
