Problems Installing the XD-2--HELP!!!

I just got my new system up and running.
-AMD Athlon XP 2700+, 2.16 GHz
-1 GB RAM

I went to the musicxp.net site and preformed most of the recommended tweaks to optimize a xp system for recording music.

I started the installation process for the XD-2 and Tracktion.

When I got to the point of upgrading the hardware, I get an error message, which tells me to reboot the XD-2 and try again.

Has this happened to anyone else? Am I missing something?
