Maybe they don't want to answer that question, but at least a simple No or Yes would be reasonable. Not like it's an upgrade, were talking the boxed version here. There seems to be a disconnection between Mackie, the forums, and the developer, that's not very reasuring, IMO. How can a guy here, speak for the company, but not know if "said company" will allow the product to be transferred? Seems a little, uh, strange to me... Yea or Nay??
