Since i was not able to figure it out in the manual,
is my question thus ; how to control the volume (cc nr 7)not only on the first channel but also the rest, and how to control kompakt directly on the volume control.

It is explained in the chapter "MIDI Control" page 179.

CC 7 on MIDI channel 1 will control volume for Receptor Channel 1. CC 7 on MIDI channel 2 will control volume for Receptor Channel 2, and so on. See page 182.

CC 14 on MIDI channel 1 will control the volume for FX Bus 1. CC 14 on MIDI channel 2 will control the volume for FX Bus 2. See page 183.

CC 14 on MIDI channel 16 will control the master volume. See page 184.

Kompakt does not publish its VST parameters (it does not follow the VST spec). Because of this it is not possible to control Kompakt volume from the front panel or with NRPN's or MIDI CC. We are looking for a fix, but at this point it is not possible to control Kompakt's volume with MIDI

Thanks fot the quick answer, would you have a suggestion
how to control the faders with only one cc nr, i play an EWI and i've got only one controller nr..... :dog:

Post

That's tough with just one CC nr. If you are using a plug-in other than Kompakt, you could assign any parameter to the front panel, and then it would be controllable by CC 16. See this thread:

Would a merge function be possible in the muse itself ?(selecting the channels to be played simultaniously)The channel selector still only listens to one channel.
So far i'm able to run cc 7 on different channels by selecting them in logic audio...
(it's tedious, but i'm still talking about cc nr 7)

I'm not sure if I follow. For a merge function you need more than one straem of MIDI. What are you trying to control with CC 7?

I'm trying to control the volume of several channels at the same time, (what's the right term for it filter or merge),if i route my ewi through logic i'm able to select several channels to control several receptor channels, within receptor itself that's not possible

Post

I'm not sure what the term would be, but it would be kind of the opposite of merge. Maybe something like "expand."

Currently there is no way of controling the volume of several channels with one MIDI CC. What you could do is send the channels you want to control to one of the effect buses. Set the sends to be "PRE" fader; that way the send is not affected by the volume fader of that channel. Turn the volume down on the channels. Then you can control the volume of the effect bus with one CC.
