Outboard Midi Timing Problems

Hi All,

I have always experienced sloppy midi timing whenever T1 is driving external midi gear (Ok for VSTi). Today, I tried the T2 demo, and I'm getting the same thing. I'm using OSX 10.2.8 on a 1 gig T-book, 768 mb ram. I'm using the midi interface on an Oxygen 8 to connect an outboard sound module. Strange behavior: if I minimize Tracktion's window while playing a sequence, the outboard midi timing improves!

I have read some rumblings about this interface, but it works fine with Digital Performer and a Metro demo. Is there a configuration tweak I'm missing? Any ideas? I would prefer to use Tracktion for an upcoming project, but need stable outbound midi.

I find that enabling Real Time Priotity mode tightens up external MIDI.

Thanks Rich H! Unfortunately that setting is not included in the Mac version. Are there any Mac users out there successfully triggering outboard gear?

Does it not? I thought both did, it's on the same page as the driver settings.

I could be wrong though - wouldn't be the first time
