I took a break from studying and baby care and tossed these ideas around while learning how to use the sequencer in EnergyXT.
I haven´t figured how to record my guitar, so....... Maybe next time. This is therefore my first song in EXT ( I have been using FL for 2 yrs, but decided to learn other apps just for fun
)

A bunch of free Fx along the new EXT EQ (Voxengo Oldskoolverb, and a few more)

Don't normally do this kind of music, but I stayed up late tonight thinking I was going to do something like Talking Heads 'Girlfriend is Better'. I love that song, but this strays pretty wide from that. So I submit my first song ever that you can hopefully dance to:

What I used:
5 different Beta Monkey drum loops-->Bionic Delay
SR202 drum synth with the TEG Patches Acoustic Kit - panned the toms some--->Bionic Delay
Ticky Clav-->MDA Bandisto-->MDA Rezfilter
Plugsound Free suitcase rhodes-->Classic Chorus on preset 1
Triangle II for the Lead (patch is dist lead tweaked some)
MDA JX10 for the bass
Acuma Final Mix set to the Dance setting with some tweaking.
Cmon, get funky now...
A tip of the hat to Beardedone in a few of the intervals in the lead line. Still working on trying to cop that groove he gets with those lines. Oh, I should mention that I recorded all of the midi at 80 bpm then sped things up to 120 to match the BM drum loops that I had picked out for the song.

I find this too resonant using my usual "headphones" EQ preset in WinAmp. A flat eq sounds right (though some people will still find it too resonant, I imagine.)
