1.3 beta issues

I didn't see any other place to post 1.3 beta issues so I'll start a new post here.
I've found that when you unlock the first multi bank "synth multis" it will revert back to being locked at random times. Also this multi can't be deleted. You should either be able to delete it or be able to assign one of the other multis to be (msb 000/lsb 000) as this is often the only type of program change message that many midi controllers can send out.

Thank you for the report, we will try and duplicate this.

I not near a Receptor right now but even with your reported problem you should still be able to unlock the multi and save and edit.

We do not allow the first Multi to be deleted but you can replace the factoy patchs with your own.

Yes I can unlock, save or replace the multi patches which is a great and much appreciated feature in 1.3, but it would be nice to be able to assign other banks to be the first bank as that is the only one that can be accessed with most midi foot controllers, or any controller that only sends program change messages and not (msb/lsb values)
I think maybe a work around if I wanted to have two accessible user banks is to setup the first bank, copy it to another location on the hard disk or my computers disk then setup another bank and save as well. I could then copy and paste the one i wanted to use into the banks and patches/mulits directory in receptor, or maybe just rename the one i wanted to use to 000-000-my multi.bank
.....actually i just tried this and it doesn't work as that directory is read only and receptor won't let me change that attribute.
cheers,

You shouldn't try to change the MSB/LSB yourself. Receptor will ytake care of that.
I wish there was an easy way, but what you can do is save the patches you want in the first bank one by one.

You copy the bank from your Mac or PC to "Drop Installers Here" Then, go to setup and click Install.nias wrote:Hey Dan what if I want to back up a bank? How do I restore the backup??
thanks, nias
Let's say the the folder you copied from the Mac or PC was called "000-007-Favorite Multis.bank" Receptor will find the next unused MSB/LSB, let's say 000/009, and the new folder in "Banks and Patches/Multis" will be called "000-009-Favorite Multis.bank" So you don't have to worry about assigning MSB/LSB; let Receptor do it for you.

Dan you shouldn't be working this late it's well past miller time, but thanks for your time. So I see how to do that but what if i need to restore my backup to the first available bank (msb000/lsb000) because my controller is setup to access this bank, and can only access this bank? Can I rename the bank or overwrite it somehow?
thanks,
nias

I see your point. We will need to address this. With the current version you would have to restore the bank with whatever msb/lsb receptor gives you, and then save the patches one by one to the 000/000 bank.
I suggest you add this to the suggestions: have a way of assigning a particular multi bank to be 000/000.
