Tracktions pre/post record annoyance

Do anyone else find this irritating?
When you start recordong from a given bar ot another one, Tracktion will always include some samples before and after in the file. You can check this by elongating the clip you just recorded.
I find this frustrating when working with other applications (import/export).
When I record I set punch-in/out to what I want, I don't care about the time before or after this. So please, let a user choose whether to have this in a file or not.

I don't see how half a second can be usefull really, but I would like an option where you can set this yourself. If I discover that I made a bummer seting the margins then I could always record a snippet at the start/end and have it cross-fade the preceding one.

I find I get 2 extra frames in the beginning when I convert a midi track to audio. I assume traction must remember this, when I import the audio track in.

You never know, but the problem is when importing to other apps. Say I would like to mix in SAWStudio or something. I would have to render all my tracks because aligning them elsewhere would be difficult. I don't know how many frames to cut really.
I would just like Tracktion to record what I tell it to record, as I am not an idiot who needs that "protection".

It gets complicated because it varies from one software to another.
