Question,

ive not much time to test this out, but I'm thinking of moving and rearranging my vst's. When I do this, will say blockfish, (which is right now in Effects/Amplitude/Dynamics/blockfish) suddenly not load or be recognized in older projects (for example if I moved it to Effects/Fishfx/Blockfish)

?

I just rearranged all my plugs into logical and meaningful folders too. Just point the plugin folder settings in T2 to the new VST folder locations and do a complete rescan (then go shopping, take a shower, watch TV, manicure the hamster etc.)...then come back and everything should be cool.

Some of my plugins did not function when I moved them into a different folder. Notably, CS-80 and M-Tron had some serious issues...I had to move them back to the VSTPlugins root directory to get them to work again. But, for the most part, I was surprised that most of them were not affected at all.

I think the plugins that come with install (exe) files and have entries in the registry are most likely to complain when moved. Just a guess though. You might do a search on CS-80 in the registry and redirect any pointers to your new location.

None of my plug-ins complained when I moved the dll's into different folders. I did this with T1 tho, but I dont see why T2 should be any different.

Tracktion is fine with it, as long as the plug-in is fine with it.
