I'm about halfway through ripping my entire CD collection to OGG Vorbis 500kps in case I lose one and also so that I can do quicker conversions to mp3/WMA for my portable.
I discovered I'm missing a 25-disc wallet, which I don't think was full, but it had some of my favourite CDs in it! Bummer... but not the point of the thread.
The ripping program I've been using creates ID3 tag information (naturally), and I would like to use this fact to catalogue my entire library while I'm at it. Primarily, I could use it on the computer as a searchable database; however, secondarily I would like to be able to print out a list of albums and/or songs (probably not songs, since that would take too much paper!).
Does anybody have any freeware to recommend? As I search for it, I find lots of stuff that shows promise, but none of the descriptions give me all the info I want, and I'm not up for testing 10 different programs in order to find one that does the job-- I'd rather hear from people who have already done the legwork.
Cheers,
Greg
