In regard to the workflow of Tracktion2 I have the following questions:

1) "Click" a MIDI Clip and you have the (practical) possibility to open via the "show/hide MIDI Editor" button the MIDI Editor.
-> But when you're finished with your MIDI work this button isn't available! Why? I don't want to "doubleclick" everytime to leave the MIDI Editor.

2) There is no "show/hide AUDIO Editor" button! Why?

3) Why do I have (inside the MIDI Editor) at first to mark a note and after that I am able to select "all notes" at once? I want to open the "MIDI Editor" and select all notes at once!

4) After "doubleclicking" a MIDI or Audio Clip it pops up and is often not in the correct vertical screen position, means I first have to play around with the scrollbar to see its complete content! For me not very handy..

5) I can's see a short information on the screen about seconds/millisecs if I count in bars/beats at the same time. Do I have to switch the metering everytime I want to know the length of the song.

Maybe I have overlooked some features or possibilities of Tracktion2 but anyway, if someone inside this forum can give me some advice it would be great....

Many options in Tracktion are "context sensitive" (or something), meaning that a shortcut function or available menues depend on where you click. This allows avoiding comlicated drop-down menues and countless shortcuts.

this is why:

1) The "show/ hide MIDI editor" button is available only when the CLIP is selected.
You can, however, just change the height of the track to go in and out of editor mode.

and:
3) the Ctrl+A shortcut selects all of the notes, when a notes is selected, all of the clips when a clip is selected and all of the tracks when a track is selected.

-------
other points:

"2) There is no "show/hide AUDIO Editor" button! Why?"

I'll answer with a question: what audio editor? is you want to expand the track, select the track and use grow/ shrink button
(or 'z' or double-click the track, or drag its boundaries)

5) yes, you do have to switch. use the 't' shortcut to do it real quick.

as for:

"4) After "doubleclicking" a MIDI or Audio Clip it pops up and is often not in the correct vertical screen position, means I first have to play around with the scrollbar to see its complete content! For me not very handy.."

I comletely agree. I find Tracktion vertical zoom to be somewhat quirky (as opposed to horiz. zoom).
