I have the trial version of Tracktion. It is being weird about the tempo. I have set it to 109 but the actual tempo the song is playing at is 118 bpm...
How do I know this? Because when I use the tap tempo feature to tap in time with the click it says that I am tapping 118 (even though the song is set to a tempo of 109).
Just to double check my theory I used an external metronome and set it to a tempo of 109. Then I used the taped in time to the metronome (in thw tracktion tap tempo feature) and sure enough tracktion said the tempo was 109bpm.
So, it appears that the tracktion tap tempo feature is working correctly, however the actual song itself is being bumped up by about 10 bpm.
Has any one else noticed this?
Please can you do a test for me to check Im not going mad?
Is it possible that sound driver is having an adverse affect on the tempo that the song plays back at?

I worked out what the problem was just after posting this. It is because the external soundcard digital source clock was set to 48k. This was affecting the actual click tempo of the song.
i.e. I had to change the external clock to sync with tracktion internal clock (in this case 41.1k)

Why? Someone else may have the same problem and do a search, find this thread and have the answer to their problem.PT wrote:So, maybe you should edit or remove the thread title?
