For all you audio/non-MIDI people out there -- don't be discouraged. Tracktion is a great audio-only app, in spite of (or in addition to, depending on your point of view) any MIDI problems...mrdr wrote:yeah.it's sadtheshaggyfreak wrote:Well, the dropping of the first midi note still isn't fixed..For me it's time to forget about Tracktion. What a waste of my time

I honestly can say I haven't used Tracktion in a while, but I'm trying to be hopeful. Now that I have Pro Tools, I've been finding myself using that more and I use FL Studio for sequencing since it's really easy to do with that. *shrug*mrdr wrote:yeah.it's sadtheshaggyfreak wrote:Well, the dropping of the first midi note still isn't fixed..For me it's time to forget about Tracktion. What a waste of my time
Wow, N-track has Surround support now. I may go back to using that for the time being since I own that too.

This new version will not work on OSX 10.2.8
At least not for me.
It would be nice if earlier versions of Tracktion were
available on Mackie's site.
I deleted the old T2 while installing the new one.
Now I have nothing cause it doesn't work.
Great.

So, I disabled 'auto show midi editor toolbar' but how do I get it to show when I want it?
Bummer about 10.2.8.

First: Thanks for the update, Jules!
RE: 10.2.8, the update says not designed to work with below 10.3
I'm having problems with the mackie plugs loading, tracktion plugs load fine.
When I click on the mackie plugs in my file folder I get a prompt to register for microsoft office trial?
WTF?
I still have my backed up mackie plug-ins folder, but I'd rather use the new ones since it sounds like things have been upgraded. I'm in 10.3.9, but am ready to go to tiger now that T is tiger-compatible.

The "preparing to play compressed or networked files" problem is gone for me in T2.0.1.13 with Tiger 10.4.1. Also, so far the VST plug-ins I've tried work just fine (both Mackie and others).
If I decide to test with Tiger 10.4.2, I'll be installing on a separate disk, so I can revert if necessary.

scoop2: I suggest you contact Mackie support tomorrow about getting the previous version to use with 10.2.8. Or you can send me a pm and I can probably help you find it.

(unless you have the NFR version) T2 is only a $20 upgrade, which even though it still has some bad bugs, is definitely worth $20!lharless wrote:noted. thanks. i still yet have to upgrade to t2. waiting out the storm. looks good. worth it? we'll see.jsavin wrote: For all you audio/non-MIDI people out there -- don't be discouraged. i guess ill have to go ahead and get T2 for $20. i don't need the plugs. i already have my waves plugs.
i dont do midi. will i be able to notice the difference in audio and functionality as an "audio only" user?
its fine for audio now, as is with T1. but i guess i should go ahead and upgrade huh?
