Upgrading to Tracktion 2

It appears for 'new' users, Traction is now a boxed only product.
A shame in my opinion.
Wasn't there a discount for NFR users? In which case that would mean someone who got the product free would get a discount/rebate but someone (like soundpalace) who kind of bought it doesn't? That doesn't sound fair at all.
Bundled software is a dicey proposition all round it seems, my Audiophile card only came with apps. that wouldn't run on my OS and there was no upgrade path there either.

GaryG i totally agree, and yep I thought that you would be able to buy an activation online too, otherwise the demo wouldnt even give the option of registering would it ?
Beno, I'm terribly sorry, I only just realised that you work for Mackie lol ... actually I had emailed Mackie with the same question so I guess I'll just use the email response as a confirmation.
Thanks a lot for your help !! you've all been great. If anything ... I'm considering buying Tracktion right now due to the top notch support you and all the nice people on this forum offer. Now it's a question of ... can I buy online ....
Cheers

Welcome, Soundplace! Yeah, it seems nice here at first. Then the scary music starts and the rabid groundhogs start typing. Oh, the horror of it all. Wait. I'm not supposed to... *mmmmphmp*

Yeah use the email as the final word. I'm not always up to date on all the fine print on deals and stuff. Let me know if you need anything else. And T2 is only available in a box so you can buy it online from an online reseller but I don't think that is what you meant.soundpalace wrote:GaryG i totally agree, and yep I thought that you would be able to buy an activation online too, otherwise the demo wouldnt even give the option of registering would it ?

I do have to say, as I go off topic, that it's incredibly nice and assuring to see Beno around here alot more since the update. I know he must be busy. But it is kind of reassuring.
Also, if I can ask Beno. Was anyone you know effected by the bombings? Or anyone Jules knows? I meant to post in the thread where you said you were ok, but I didn't. I hope those you know are ok also.
Anyway, back on topic. I'm terribly sorry.
