While not a major problem for me, I agree with your suggestion, an option for the quantizing menu would be a good idea.

I'll look into the other bug but re. the quantizing notation it is on the list to change but it is a much bigger change then you might think. Because it is used throughout the system in many different ways, Jules told me once it would take a fair amount of time to get sorted. Sometime soon hopefully though.

OK, Jules shouldn't waste his time on this, since there are much more desired things to do first.Beno wrote:I'll look into the other bug but re. the quantizing notation it is on the list to change but it is a much bigger change then you might think. But you could include a help popup (or additional text in the dropdown lines) as a hint.
a small info table e.g. 1/16 bar = 1/4 beat etc. would be handy!

Thanks for the response Beno. It's little things like getting some sort of feedback on feature requests and bug fixes that makes all the difference.Beno wrote:I'll look into the other bug but re. the quantizing notation it is on the list to change but it is a much bigger change then you might think. I appreciate you cannot give too much away but your efforts to at least post a response to threads like these certainly go a long way.
Crossinger's suggestions are pretty good and appear to require minimal development effort. Appear is the key word in that sentence
At least it's on the list.
Cheers.

ttoz, ttoz wrote:dragging is fine, but ctrl clicking, with snap clips to neighbours checked, will copy the clip, and snap it to it's neighbour, UNTIL you let it go and let the keys go. then it snaps to the nearest snap setting, and then you have to drag it again so it can properly snap to the neighbouring clip.
try it, easily reproducible.
I must be doing something different then you because it seems to be working for me. I have tried with audio and midi clips. I have snapping enabled and snap clips to neighbours checked. When I CTRL+Drag a clip it copies it and it still obeys snapping rules. It also snapps to neighbours as expected. When I release mouse button then ctrl it stays snapped to neighbor, and the oposite order, ctrl then mouse button works as well. Maybe walk me through step by step if I am doing something different?

I've actually had this problem aswell, but I havent been able to replicate it everytime so I didnt say anything. I'll check it out aswell to see if I can find why its doin that.Beno wrote:ttoz, ttoz wrote:dragging is fine, but ctrl clicking, with snap clips to neighbours checked, will copy the clip, and snap it to it's neighbour, UNTIL you let it go and let the keys go. then it snaps to the nearest snap setting, and then you have to drag it again so it can properly snap to the neighbouring clip.

I just let go of the control button as soon as I can see that the duplicate is attached to the pointer. Snapping works then.
