i don't have another host right now, so i don't know if these are DP / 4.6 specific:
1. panned BP doesn't sound any different than regular BP in FSVA for me.
2. the snapshot loop retriggers every time i play a note. i was under the impression i could make it freewheel like in regular FS. no?
VA in DP 4.6 ???

Hiya,
yes and no.
The panned BP require stereo operation to sound different from the normal ones. Unfortunately, VA's voices operate monophonic (as 99.99% of all synthesizer voices). I should have removed that option. It's a relic from times when VA was considered an add-on plugin to Filterscape that uses its EQ within the voice.
The retrigger stuff is pretty much intrinsic to how a synthesizer and its voices work, so it's an intentional effect. Having the equalizer run "free" for all voices would be a tremendous waste of cpu, as the calculation of the very same thing would happen for every note you play at the same time.
Basically, the *reason* fo VA being there is exactly this: Having the snapshot EQ retriggered for each voice in a synthesizer!
If you need a global snapshot EQing, this would be done best by adding Filterscape as an effect to FilterscapeVA's channel/track.
Cheers,
Urs
