uhh bad error. i got a BSOD, and then this happened upon next load.

its not even the track i recorded. i tried to replace it with the proper track, and its still loading this weird acoustic clipping. i dont get it can someone help please

im working with SO MANY tracks, and so many plugs its nuts. i tried to import the file and it imported that clip again. weird.

Just curious, but does it play back alright? If so, then maybe it's just some wierd video glitch. BSOD's are total pain in the necks. Do you even recognize the clip from anywhere, or is it just a small waveform from nowhere?

Also, do your other projects load correctly? Sometimes when these things happen, I just ignore them if they didn't really mess anything up. Like if it's just one edit or if it's still playing back. I haven't had THIS happen, but anything along these lines.

This happened to me once with T2 when recording about 6 wavs at once for a live gig. All recorded fine but when I reloaded the edit later a couple of the clips looked like the ones above. If memory serves, I lost those clips. You maybe lucky and still have them somewhere in your hard drive.

I've always associated BSOD's with driver errors... could be a possibility.

Was that recorded in Loop record? Also, as has been asked before, does it play back all right? If it does, you can try deleting the thumb files in your tracktion tempory folder which will force it to redraw on next start.

it wasnt recorded with loop record. its not a video problem. listen. The audio you see is what it plays, some acoustic guitar outtake. I say change source file, i point it at the file that is the distorted guitar (using preview wav file) and it simply loads the acoustic track. WTF.

please explain deleting thumb files...?

Okay guys i just renamed the file and its working. you should DEFINATELY check it out as a bug though.

I just hit this bug too. My PC froze (it never dies using anything except Tracktion :/ ) and when I reboot I got the, "do you want to open the temporary file?". I made a copy of the original, and said, "yes". Everything seemed to be okay, but then I realized that 2 of the latest loop-recorded clips were completely wrong.

I checked the directory, and the files are there and play fine. The references seem to be screwed up and the dropdown is showing a bunch of other takes for that track, and not the one I want. When I drag in the file I want to use, it appears in tracktion as a completely different file.

Deleting the thumb files doesn't help... I had to use, "choose a different file for this clip to refer to". This kills the loop-records stack of files... and if it does this to more than a couple it would be a major pain to do.

After this happening I am now afraid to use Tracktion. At first I thought everything was gone, and not finding a total remedy makes me fearful that I could lose all my work at any moment.

Turn off Realtime Priority Mode. It carries a warning for a reason.
