FR: Solo Button Lock

I wish that there was a way to lock a track's solo button. Lets say you recorded a live band and then were comping several vocal takes you could leave the whole band locked in solo and switch between vocal parts with one click. As it is now you have to unsolo the current vocal track and then hold down the shift button and solo the next track. Not a biggie but it makes it hard to do quickly since it's two mice clicks and a shift key rather than just one mouse click.

the old school way to do this is with a "solo safe" switch. Tracks that are "solo safe" don't mute when other tracks are solo'd. Used usually for effect returns and the like. Maybe an option-click on the solo button shades it pink or somp'n...

can't you achieve the same thing by enable/ disable individual volume/pan filters (have to use the control key to select them all at once) then pressing f to toggle them?

I think you can, but only in T2.

either way we should have a switchable settings. it would make all of this so much easier
