Tell me , how is a VST going to input chord notes in T2's timeline? Think about it.rpc9943 wrote:think about vst's like stepchild etc where you drag the midi in. think about it. it'd be fine to have in a vst. go ask some devs

How about a "chord track" in T2?

In a floating window that you'd have to invoke to see. I'm sure all the militant one-window users would love that.Rock wrote:It would have to have it's own timeline...

Who ya callin' militant, Mr. Live beta of joy?
You never know, we might love it. And who says it has to float? It could be an 'embedded' rack-track stickie thing.

If Jules does it it can be embedded. Ron was saying just get some third party dev to do it. Which wouldn't be embedded.mandolarian wrote:Who ya callin' militant, Mr. Live beta of joy?

Again, I like the idea. It would be great if it were just a scratch space along the top to throw text in the timeline, someone mentioned (in another thread?) having lyrics scroll with the music. That would be great. In LE7 I did that with the markers and it worked well enough, but there was only a single line so you couldn't put much text.

I think it would just be nice to have a scratch pad like Braj said, where you could put notes, chords, whatever.
I have wanted to program something for a while, but haven't really learned enough to do it, where there could be post-it style notes for anything on the screen via right click or something. But it wouldn't work. That way, you could attach a note to whatever you want.
But if not, then at least somewhere to put some kind of notes, whether a track or a little notes section in the bottom pane for everything possible. But it's definately a feature that Jules should add if anyone, because it would have to work with the timeline and the components of Tracktion.
