i have made the color of the division between the tracks invisible (alpha channel 0) so only the mouse changes (maby jules can turn that off) so if someone likes to see the division, give it a color, if not than alpha 0.

I just find it distracting... thus the suggestion. I personally don't resize tracks that way. I use 'Z' because either a track is open (editing state) or closed as far as I'm concerned. Thus having something switching cursors on the main portion of the screen I find distracting. I resize tracks, via dragging, typically when I want a group of them smaller, or something along those lines.. but not while editing. Regardless, I can live with it as is... just wanted to throw the suggestion out there.JoMal wrote:Lemme get this straight. Say you have a clip in focus for editing and you want to increase it's vertical size slightly. You would prefer to mouse over to the left/right edge AND then back to make the adjustment rather than stay in place and drag the resize line down? Are you all serious? Sacrilege I say! Guards, off with their heads!

As a bonus to everyone's pain

Without having lockable track sizes, its pointless for me to resize tracks manually from within the main edit. I'm not about to carefully adjust tracks just to loose all that work when I push F5-F8 (which I do a lot). I usually double click the clip to edit things, then zoom out full afterwards.
I do agree about the incremental sizes. I feel the exact same way about the color picker. Its pretty funny when I open my old edits and all the clips are the same color, and my new edits are all rainbow colored.

I agree with the option route. The putty-like fluid interface is a large part of Tracktion's appeal to me and would hate to see that dissapear.
