I use sfz more than any other vst.
I have this memory problem from time to time, even with very small fonts (1 or 2 mb) even when they are loaded using disk streaming.
I found that if I delete sfz and reload it, it will load the font.
I have always felt that there may be some minor incompatability between sfz and Tracktion or win 98. Or that my 128mb of ram may be the problem.
Could Tracktion flush RAM between loading edits?

okay, i have an idea.. though no way to test it at the moment. what if instead of going from one edit that uses plugins with a big VST ram load to another, you create an edit that has nothing what so ever in it. then when going from one project that is large, load this empty edit, then load the next big project. i bet this would work..

I've never seen one.bear wrote:I don't know the VST standard well enogh to know. Is there a function call that allows the host to ask a plugin what RAM it is using?
Well if there is, I clearly don't honour it, so I can think ofg a handful of plugs immediately that wouldn't.And if there is such a function, does every plugin support it correctly?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!
