Honestly, i don't know why i don't like external links.

Lazyness maybe? And the vague sensation of being "spammed", so to speak? If we are in the Music Café, we want to hear music, not to surf on the web? Who knows?

Lets say the music makers don't care if anyone hears their music. If you DO want to hear music, then the burden would lie with you to make the effort.

Since this particular guy does want people to hear his music, the burden lies with him.

Same with me occasionally. Most of the time I don't care though. Every so often I get a bit pissy if I've had no listens, but its all down to my mood.

Anytime I've downloaded, most of those instances I've thought the music was very good. I guess I must be easy to please.

I put stuff at the auditorium all the time, and I get plenty of listens, despite the extra click.

The key is: clever and evocative thread titles.

I'm sitting with my laptop in the living room. A direct mp3 link I can control click and "Open in iTunes" which streams it to my big stereo. Embedded players go to my laptop speakers. Ouch.
