Well folks... I've got a few problems. I've been using revisit, as everyone hopefully knows by now... hehe. and ive had about 3 total crashes in t2. Two times it just closed, and i couldnt shut the program down in windows task manager, and i had to restart before loading another instance. one time.... I GOT THE BSOD. It doesnt happen often. But actually the BSOD was during a CLIENT RECORDING. thankfully, it saved the temporary edit and everything was ok, however the ones where i was using revisit (might not be the cause) it just completely shut down. I dont know any more that I can tell you, but its pretty annoying :( I was shocked that this happened!

BSODs are really prety unlikely on Win2k/XP.

The only way that can normally happen is if kernel level stuff like an audio driver crashes. That's not to say a host can't be responsible for crashing a driver, but it really is pretty hard to write code nowadays that can cause a BSOD.

Does revisit have any reason to be messing around with audio drivers?

Do make sure you have RealTime Priority Mode disabled in your T settings though.

Far more likely just to get a frozen screen than a BSOD. I've never seen one in XP actually. :?

On a related note, T2 DID crash on me today, and all I did was drag Roomverb M2 into a track.

T2 crashed very badly several times when I first installed it. I re-installed XP with SP2 and it seems to have gotten better, although it still happens occasionally.

What is really annoying is that when it crashes, you can see it in the task manager as a running task, but it will not shut down, a full re-boot is necessary before you can start it again...

exactly. precisely.

its actually the only BSOD ive ever seen in winxp. Maybe its because i kept loading different plugs, it was so scary. :P I thought my client's song was gone!

I have solved my crashing problems with T2 in two steps:

- Made 'settings' file read-only (I only need to change it when I want to scan for new VST's)
- Seriously cleaned up house in my plugins folder. I only kept the essentials.

I have yet to have a crash in T2, and I only had 1.5 crashes with T1.

The latest version .13 has done what ron described several times. plus the rack initialisation bug seems to of re-emerged. (I've gone back to .4)

I have also had a few crashes when loading and unloading/replacing plugs. It seems very random, as I can't point it to one or two plug-ins.
