This may sound strange to some but I'd like to see some sort of extra panning controls in T2's "Fader/Panner" filter. What I mean is this: on tracks that are stereo, it would be nice to be able to seperately control the panning position of both the left and right tracks. As it stands right now I can only pan left or right. What if I'd like to narrow the sound field up on certain stereo tracks? For instance on some recordings I don't like to completely spread out the drum tracks because I like to narrow it up a bit and add verbs and create the sense of distance and directional placement where the drumset seems realistically placed as if the listener was in front of the stage. Full stereo spreading can kill that sort of thing and it would nice to narrow the space a bit by seperating the left and right tracks' panning controls. I could set the left to say 10:00 and the right to say 2:00, versus the way the panning controls are currently setup.

I think you could very easily do this with a Rack filter, just link the left channel to one volume/pan filter, and the right one to another volume pan filter, and you can control as much as you'd like. Also try the patch-bay filter, I think it'll help you control your imaging better.

A simpler solution to your specific problem above is to use a dedicated VST plug such as dfx Monomaker. I use it all the time on my Sonic Implants drums to narrow the stereo image:

doesn't all the sound drain away if you do that?
