no audio in qt

howdy folks
can't seem to get any audio from my imported qt movies

yes i know about the audio mute option in the control click menu in the movie

i am using a g4 powerbook with tiger

and qt 7 pro
perhaps there is somethng going on there

any one else experiencing this

The quicktime audio when enabled should come from your system sound output. It is not routed through the core audio output with the rest of your project unless you set your system output to the same output you have selected in tracktion.

okay that works but if i set both tracktion and system audio to internal audio the qt audio goes south

they both work on the core audio or one or the other but not both on the internal audio

which of course is how i sometimes work with headpohones while traveling

any ideas about this scenario
