How valid is the claim of any developer or manufacturer about anything that they release? Every VSTi ever made is the best synth on the market. Every host has every feature you could ever want and is the preferred host of professionals.How valid is the claim? How is it even possible?
If anyone seriously believes manufacturers' blurb, then you're in deep trouble. The proof is in the pudding.
And to my ears, it competes with h/w enhancers that cost an awful lot more, that are used professionally. If you get a good mix, if you set it appropriately, then it will achieve more than any mix of compressors and Eq can achieve.
Will it give you a commercial sheen to your projects? Only if you get a commercial quality mix initially. And that applies to any expensive piece of commercial gear.
Personally I think the claims and blurb from Crysonic are backed up quite a bit better than by many other s/w developers who claim all kinds of bullshit and hype. But, as with anything, a tool is only as good as its user.
