i think you'll find that filterscape is the ruler
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

spinEQ is a ruler for a freebie though.

I think the native EQ is the ruler and it has numbers damn it! Plus a convenient display! :D

What's log view anyway, and how is it useful?

well note how the mids and lows are the one quarter of the view. instead of spread out equally. also there isnt much space to move things accurately.

he means that the scale of the eq does not correspond to the octave distribution of frequencies. IE the range 220-440 Hz should ideally cover as much screen estate as the range 1760-3520Hz.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Any this makes it shit?

*edit* I guess I have a different perspective because I remember when you would have to spend $$ to get a decent parametric EQ, and possibly only have a few for your whole project. The one included with T seems a marvel to me by comparison. Gotta love software.

We already have a log view. What Ron really wants (and I agree it would be better) is to have a slightly different log scale which gives more priority to the lower frequencies.

If the view was really linear (as Ron seems to think) then the halfway point of the 20Hz-20KHz range would be approx 10KHz. This would give enormously detailed control over the upper 'air' frequencies while making it almost impossible to distinguish between say 50Hz and 80Hz. As it is the halfway point is about 4KHz, but if I had the choice I would put it closer to 1KHz. (as it is in the Final Mix EQs ;))

Don't be cruel :)

Poor wibble Ron. :D

SpinEQ is the hands-down ruler of the almost-free world, though. There are contenders in the free world, though-- some of them as of yet unreleased. ;)

:tantrum: That's the sort of blinkered, philistine pig ignorance I've come to expect from you non-creative garbage. You sit there on your loathsome, spotty behinds squeezing blackheads, not caring a tinker's cuss for the struggling artist. You excrement! You whining, hypocritical toadies, with your colour TV sets and your Tony Jacklin golf clubs and your bleeding masonic secret handshakes! You wouldn't let me join, would you, you blackballing bastards! :bang:
