hello!!
I have a slight problem with MIDI device STOP command.
my situation looks like this:
i have a korg EMX / ES [groovebox]. when i press start button in my project - the midi device starts also. but when i press the stop button - the project stops yet the KORG doesnt stop. it chokes for a few miliseconds and it continues to play!!
my hardware configuration works fine in ableton live and renoise software. ive double checked all possible configurations but the result is all the same - my groovebox never stops. ;'[
mackie support couldnt help me - all they do is ask for my software config.
i hope that someone experienced the same and can help me out.
best regards
bkidz

I don't have a groovebox, so I can't offer much help, but do you know if it is using MMC (MIDI Machine Control) to sync with Tracktion's transport, or if it uses MIDI Clock?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

There's a "bug" regarding T2 not sending a "note off" command with certain hardware sequencers when using MIDI clock. I ran into this problem a few weeks ago with my Korg Karma and Roland MC505 Groovebox. After talking to three different tech support fellows at HQ they decided it was a bug. One tech guy took T2 to his own studio over a weekend and tested several of his personal machines and had problems on a Kurzweil board as well. Another tech had problems with his Roland Groovebox. Another forum member posted problems with a Korg EA-1. They are aware of the issue and promised a fix soon but no promises on exactly when since they have to forward the problem to the developers. Hopefully this issue will see a fix sooner than later since many of us T2 users still like to incorprate hardware into our setup. Hang in there.
