ah, at least a few others have voted in the same catagory as i have. im somehow glad to see im not the only one who's hardware synths arent seeing much use at the moment.

but since i had to use the 'just for show' option, for lack of another option, i may as well show (umm..list) them.

technics wsa1
kawai K5000S
ensoniq fizmo
korg N5
akai AX80
crumar bit one
casio SK-5 (circuit bent, by me)

(plus in the non-keyboard synth catagory...waldorf microwave XT, DSI evolver, yamaha AN200, yamaha DX200, alesis DM5.)

i have one casio that was circuit bent into a midi keyboard. Fun story: the guy who did it did so for free as long as i hooked him up with the girl he wanted at the time. Theyre still going out, too.

strangely enough, 2 of my 6 are a Yamaha PSR and a Prodigy.

also, lack of space.

i only have one medium sized piece of ikea furniture,
that bears all of my studio stuff.
so, the oxygen8 fits perfect into it,
like it was made for this purpose.

but, maybe i get another keyboard,
a korg control-49, a radium-49, or a cme uf5.

for the lack of space issue,
a 37-keys would be the perfect one.
but the only 37-keys i can think of,
would be a ozonic.

You could always use a MIDI theremin.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone when it comes to old synth hoarding!

I'll admit I felt a bit pretentious when I posted, but you guys have a lot of gear.

I'd love to have a photo session with everything mentioned here all stacked and strewed about. I'm sure we'd make the cover page of something! :D

...or, I just read about this, literally a few seconds ago, on another forum. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the: Ass Cheek Controller! :o

There are sensors wired into this sofa, which detect the difference in pressure you exert with your two ass cheeks! It also has sensors which detect the pressure and movement of your back. Just build this into that swiveling office chair you use in your recording studio, and you will be able to play music by merely squirming in your seat!

vurt, have you seen this yet? Combine this with a breath-controller-bong and I think this would be your perfect ambient control surface! :o

I would assign different fart sounds to the sofa, and then trick my guests who sit on it.. :hihi:

I would have to have at least one sample of a cat screaming like it was just sat on!
