Neddy, you shouldn't presume you are in a position to give lessons to others.

I'm missing it too.... (I'm the occasional poster applepie at OSX...)
I found a place called homerecording.com which seems quite fun, a lot of threads about chinese microphones, the best preamp for under $200 and behringer products... I posted a song there to get some feedback about my microphone/preamp and the recorded sound of my guitar, voice etc. Got some nice feedback (at the forum, not with my microphone
). I'd never heard of that place before.
Got my PMI group buy piano samples yesterday... If it hadn't been for OSX audio I wouldn't have heard about it... Still acoustic pianos seem to be the flavour of the month. I bet the next version of Logic will have one built in...
I guess we'll get OSXaudio back eventually... I can start taking bets on whether it will be before or after M-Audio supplies a tiger driver for my Audiophile USB...

Yeah, the u-he forum could launch a Betty Ford section for us refugees. It is rather comfy in here... the nice soft walls and everything.PaulSC wrote:"KVR: the methadone of OSXAUDIO-philes"

what's more frustrating is when even the sites themselves don't mention what OS they're talking about. can you imagine the fits the kids here would have if you were constantly posting links to software and didn't say it was Mac only?tonio wrote:LOL no kidding.loophead wrote:look forward to not wading through pc-ville. I'm going to start putting up links and "forget" to mention that they're only for Zeta.

I love Tony with all my heart, but didn't we buy (through our donations) an Xserve for that site? I don't quite understand why this has happened again? I thought we took care of it so it wouldn't happen again.
On the other hand, it's been a great break from being moderated. I get so tired of the new attitude there. On Topic this, don't challenge me that. Blech. Who needs it. Besides, with the exception of a few, I have most of my favorite people in my iChat window anyway.
Also, I haven't check it out much yet, but there is a new site out there for us OS Xers.
Check it out: http://osxrecording.com/
