Sorry guys
I know this is not new. I have no factory presets showing up on the new (grey) version of Final Mix. What am I doing wrong?

Go to the directory containing the presets. Highlight them all, then right-click to get the properties. On PC, check the box that says "read-only", or on the Mac there's a similar one... "lock" or something?

Drat, don't know what to say, then. Did you re-scan the plug-in after making them read-only? Can't remember if that makes a difference, but it couldn't hurt.

Its worse than I thought - I have no presets for any of the Mackie Plug ins, and I have lost all my Virtual Guitarist "players" too. I have VG working perfectly in FL, so I copied the .dll files to the T2 plug in folder, but all the players have disappeared and in their place it says "please reinstall". 
Please can anyone help?

No idea about the Final Mix stuff but have you tried leaving your virtual guitarist dlls where they are and instead setting Tracktion to scan the original folder? You might be screwing up the VSTs path settings by moving just the dll...
