Hello,
To help us solve this problem that some of you are experiencing, please post here in the following format:
1) System info (Mobo, CPU, RAM, Audio Interface(s), DSP Accelerator cards (UAD, POCO, Creamware), Video Card, OS, anything else that might be of value)
2) Normal ASIO Latency settings you use (in samples) and ASIO driver if different from soundcard asio driver (I.E. asio4all)
3) Quick Description of the specific problem you are seeing
4) Any workarounds you have succesfully used for your system
5) Anything else you wish to share
Please keep it on topic as possible. If your not having a problem, please don't post saying saying so. I know many of you have posted this info in other threads but it will be a big help to see it all in one place. Thanks again and I'm confident we can get to the bottom of it soon.
Ben
[edit 1 note the edits I just made to the numbers above]
[edit 2 please stay on topic and don't use this for discussion of the problem. There are plenty of other threads already existing for that. I've deleted all non esential posts. We need to keep it neat and tidy. Thanks.]

1) Epox 8KHA+, 1.53Ghz AthlonXP 1800, 1Gb, Onboard, XP SP2. ATI Radeon 9800 PRO.
2) 512 in ASIO Control Panel, 2048 in Tracktion Settings. *
3) When inserting FinalMix into an edit (in the Master section) the sound has bad clicking artifacts. Dunno about everyone else, but it seems to be coming out of the RIGHT stereo channel, but not the left (the little mixer bars fluctuate on the right, but the left is okay).
4) update - I've just noticed that reducing the latency in the Tracktion page has stopped the pops and crackles with FM on my setup! Seems I was using too much latency! I thought that the ASIO driver's own panel settings took priority over Tracktion's own settings. Seems not. However, I had high latency settings in the previous release of T2 and this wasn't a problem.
5) I really liked War of the Worlds. Though I may be in a minority.

1) Fujitsu-Siemens AmiloD laptop, 2.8Ghz P4, 512MB, either Edirol UA-20 (USB1) or M-Audio Ozonic (Firewire), no DSP accelleration, ATI Radeon 9000 64MB graphics, Win XP SP2
2) 256 samples
3) Multiple click/pops and.or latency issues depending on settings. Appears to be linked to glitches in GUI update (as in I noticed there were stutters in the GUI which corresponded with audio clicks/pops).
4) Use alternative software (Audition) for all audio recording
5) I liked WOTW too, but thought it too scary for a 12A certificate (I have kids aged 11 and 10)

1) Toshiba P35-S611, 3.33Ghz P4 with HT, 1GB RAM, either Presonus Firepod or else Line6 GuitarPort, XP Home (latest updates - I keep it up to snuff), ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP, internal 100 GB hard drive, external Iomega 160 GB USB2.0 hard drive.
2) Usually 5.9ms latency.
3) Snap, crackle, and pop when rendering with Final Mix. Just started with latest T2 update. Ran fine before.
4) No workarounds yet -- hence I whine at this forum. Thanks for listening!
5) Wanted to see WOTW -- got outvoted by my wife and kids last time we hit the theater. Will wait for the DVD.

1) A64 3000+, 1gb ram, Presonus Firepod, Geforce3 ti500, WinXP Pro sp2
2) 6ms, unsure of samples
3) Finalmix in older t2 projects creates immediate crackling as if cpu was in 100%, cpu sometimes spikes to the redzone upon load of a project, t2 sometimes crackles on 75% cpu usage project.
4) disabling finalmix. on cpu spikes, I just simply freeze tracks, same as when its crackling on a 75% cpu project.
5) I would be willing to freaking beta test because some people who have been testing here don't seem to be doing their jobs properly. Contact me, pm, aim rpc9943.
*edit*
I've noticed there is buzzing, crackling, distorting even during a 75% cpu, even if there isnt a finalmix on the bus. This is pretty disconcerting. Just wanted to amend this because it's really not random and occurs often, makes it hard to mix things down.

3. Crackling and popping when playing within T2. I have not tried rendering. This occurs without Final Mix.
4. Going back to March 29 build has stopped the problem.

Abit IT7 Max mobo, NVidia GeForce4 Ti4200 with AGP8X, Phoenix AwardBIOS v6.00PG, P4 @ 2.53G, 1G RAM, RME Hammerfall Multiface, ASIO buffers 256 (5.8ms). W2k v5.0.2195 SP3
I'm getting dropouts, usually after about 15-20 seconds of playback, and noteably on a project with 149 items (largest one loaded) but my CPU useage is negligeable. I'm only using T2 for track editing and rendering right now, no plugins in use. I use a profile in W2k with many background apps disabled when working on audio. It seems as though the tracks experiencing dropouts are in the middle of the track list.

1) System info (Intel 848P, 3.2 P4 HT, 1GB RAM, Audigy 2 ZS, 128 MB Radeon 9800Pro, XP SP2)
2) ASIO Latency settings (480) Creative ASIO.
3) Pops and clicks , and it does seem to be coming from the right channel for me as well.
4) N/A
5) A friend at work offered me a pirated copy of WOTW, but I'd have to deal with someone coughing occasionally. I declined.

ibook 1.2ghz OS10.3.9
768ram
Internal drive.
M-audio Ozone.
The first build of T2 seemed a lot more cpu heavy than T1 but the latest build is basically unusable for me.Maxing out c.p.u all over the place.
Went back to first build and it was still broken as if it had written something into the song files..I dunno.
Did a complete system re-install and have gone back to T1.6.
It's ok for me I dont need the extras and until I get my firewire drive I wont be able to do a proper test.

Pentium 4 2.6
2 gigs ram
ASIO EMU 0404
nvidea 5200 card
winxp
(ASIO latency at 20 ms, Traction 204 samples, 4.6 milliseconds)
Only with new final mix do i get the right channel distortion.
(example: http://www.sitecode.com/BUG_VOXREC_reverbfinalmix.mp3
I've put previous final mix in place and it goes away. Also, has to be after a reverb for me to happen. Any reverb. I think a delay did it too.
Changing the latency setting in traction had a large effect - but did not eliminate the issue.
Just using the previous final mix now.

1) Asrock K7VT4A PRO (VIA KT400A), 2500+ Sempron, 1GHz Samsung chip, EmulatorX (E-mu 1212M), GeForceFX WinXP SP2)
2) 340 samples (7ms) with default E-mu ASIO
3) On playback/record, everything is fine until a point(random) when sound starts to behave as if it was saturating the output more and more, eventually leading to a crack-noise only sound.
4) Owning an E-mu is part of the fun: similar issues happen in Sonar and Cubase. However, in T2, it happens regularly, and far more than in the other two + synching back and forth the ASIO driver (48K <-> 44.1K) solves the problem in Sonar and Cubase, not in T2. Reducing or increasing latency, replacing plugs, or even only playing a blank edit produces the same problem. Using FinalMix adds to the mix, because it crackles in the right channel even if no "cracking" has yet occured in T2 (beginning of the playbakc, usually).

Alienware Area-51, ABit Mboard, Intel P560j 3.6GHz Dual Core, 1 Gb RAM, 160Gb Hdd, NVidea 6800 ultra 256mb, WinXP home sp2.
With ASIO set for 1024-2048 samples crackling heard in right and left side, Dominant in right.
If buffers are increased to over 4000 samples problem clears.
Removing Final Mix from the edit also clears the problem and latency settings can be lowered to normal.
Audio card is a Creative Audigy2 zs. Using Cards onboard midi interface.

1) System info: Asus A7N8X-X with Athlon XP 2600+, 512MB PC3200 RAM, Audiophile 2496, Matrox Millenium G550 (dual-head), WinXP Pro.
2) Normal ASIO Latency settings: 384 Samples (8ms at 44.1K)
3) Quick Description of the specific problem: Playing back 7 frozen tracks and only 1 non-frozen track (MIDI track routed through Sampletank 2LE) I am getting a bunch of pops and clicks. Rendering this track to audio, the pops and clicks persist.
4) Any workarounds you have succesfully used: a) add the 'individual' track to the frozen tracks so that all tracks are frozen; b) downgraded to the previous release of T.
5) Anything else you wish to share: I don't experiment much, so I've used this exact same method of creating tracks for all my previous tracks, so the behaviour was definitely unexpected; ie. it's not like it was my first time using ST2 or Frozen MIDI tracks and I just never noticed the problem before.
