It _always_ happens when I'm drawing in the piano roll and it's one of my pet hates.
But it's a long-standing bug that's been in Tracktion since T1, afaik.

Stuck notes are the bane of any midi sequencer and tend to be par for the course, especially when you are playing around inside the file. What would be nice is an easily accessed 'panic' button. I don't mind the stuck note, but I do mind having to jump through hoops to turn it off (unless I've missed something).
What annoys me more, in Tracktion, is the way sounds get buffered when you stop playing and then, when you re-start the sequence, all those buffered sounds get played. Tracktion is the only sequence I have ever used which displays this and it really isn't right.

Stuck midi notes when i stop the playing in the middle of a track.
All the time with EastWest symphonic orchestral Gold...

Yep, stuck notes nearly every time I'm in the piano roll. Doesn't seem to matter what plug.

I used to have these problems, but I was using a consumer-grade keyboard (Yamaha PSR-290). When I used MIDI-OX and filtered out a bunch of different message-types, all went smoothly after that. However, for a straight-up MIDI controller (ie. not consumer-grade like mine), I don't think it sends constant timecode or anything like that...?
If you have any other devices installed right now that are sending one of the timecode formats, it might be the culprit as it was for me.

This happens on all controllers I've tried: Oxygen 8, Prodikeys, various midi controllers thru a MidiSport 2x2. No timecode being sent from any AFAIK.

Not sure that I understand this. I'm under the impression that we are talking about stuck notes which occur after you have recorded them.Lunch Money wrote:I used to have these problems, but I was using a consumer-grade keyboard (Yamaha PSR-290).
