Still having issues with pdc render

My projects that use my Powercore effects play back fine in T2, except when I export them the pdc doesn't work...you can hear a really noticeable delay on the tracks using the PC plugs.

I noticed that sometimes the pdc also doesn't work on playback, but if I toggle to the settings tab and back to the edit view, it solves the playback problem, but rendering still doesn't work.

I tried using Tape-It, but unfortunately there are occasional minor burps in the payback that would not normally be an issue when rendering.

I've tried rendering at 1x speed, but it didn't resolve the problem...switched asio direct mode on/off, still no-go...

I might have found the solution here:

I'll post here if this does the trick!

Nope, didn't work. PDC work son playback, but not on render. Does anybody else here use Powercore with Tracktion?

We've heard something similar from a beta tester as well and are looking into the solution. Stay tuned.

yes it is on sends (with some exceptions) but there are a few bugs with PDC as you said. There is an initialization bug as you said that is sometimes (but not always) solved with the old F2, F3 trick. And there is a render bug we've seen, that seems to really become prevelent when using buses. We are looking into both right now.

Yeah, racks. And obviously it can't PDC a live signal so EtoE cases.

Is there a workaround meanwhile? Should it work if I used the compensator plugin that came with PoCo as if there was no PDC? Or should I just wait for the fix?

bump...

Try rendering the tracks that use PoCo plugs first. If the PDC works ok for the render just export as normal. If not, at least you have the option to manually adjust the rendered audio back in time first..

great idea IIRs, thanks! I'll give that a shot tonight...

HI

One other thing - hasn't Poco got it's own delay compensation plug?

I have never used it but perhaps its worth looking at - in the manual there is also some stuff on buffer settings ect that might be worth looking at.

Flipper.

hey and thanks for the pm, too. I thought about the compensator plug, the only tricky part is that PDC works fine on playback...so you have to start hearing everything terribly out of sync and keep rendering until you get it right -- it would actually be quite workable if T2 didn't support PDC at all, then I could just route all the tracks that don't use PoCo plugs to one track with the compensator and be done with it...

It would even make life easier if it was possible to disable PDC entirely until Mackie gets around to the fix...

Select track, untick "auto-advance".
