The way things are heading, I'll most probably get mackie spike with tracktion 2 included very soon. Will I recieve a free update to version 3 when the time comes?

presumably (and it IS a guess) ... the T2 > T3 upgrade will work something like the T1 > T2 one ... ie - not free but a good deal (depending on where you are) to be had by all ...

Well, I'm in Norway and everything in electronic music is more expensive here. Well, an upgrade for a cheap software can't cost all that much. Thanks for helping out anyway

For me (and all T1 owners, afaik), the T2 upgrade was $20.
I mean... $20... that's, what, 5 pints of half-decent beer? It was a ridiculously cheap upgrade.
However, I would've liked to have had the extended T2 upgrade with the various plugins (RMIV in particular), but we'll see...

Considering that T3 is pretty far off, I wouldn't NOT buy a product just because the upgrade may or may not be available. Nobody will know that for a while, including Mackie. But I do think they should be more clear as to whether bundled versions will be upgradeable like the "full" versions or not. I know alot of people would like to know that.

Agreed. I think there are still one or two "milestone" releases in the 2.x category before we have to worry about 3.x

And just ONE more thing: Is the tracktion version included with Mackie Spike featured with all those plugins or is it a cut-down version?
