Er, so I gather it's not actually a true MIDI plugin, but a VST plugin that generates MIDI data. :?:
you can use midi plugs in FLS ...
you just have to know how to route them ...

option a.] insert xT as a channel insert ...

option b.] set up a midi out channel insert , and set up your ports accordingly ...
That's still a VST (or DX) plugin that generates MIDI... I was referring to the old, almost forgotten, actual MIDI plugins that most modern hosts don't support. You're referring to routing MIDI data from one VST plugin to another I believe.

Speaking of routing MIDI from a VSTi, Live has this ability now, just added in version 5. Not a moment too soon looks like. :)

Any Cakewalk MIDIFX format plugin. Like GuitarChords or whatever it was called.

edit: MIDI effects for Cubase SX are in that format afaik

That's Cakewalk's MFX format, and RhythmNChords, respectively.

Nope, although Steinberg provide a wrapper for MFX plugins.

They have, however, decided to extend the VST format to support MIDI, although 'normal' VSTs which can pass MIDI data out to the host appear to becoming a de facto standard of their own.

Blast. I can't afford to upgrade to 5. Wasn't able to make this work in betas, for that matter. :-( Too bad.

That's great. You know it's a tool when people use it for things you'd never dreamt of.

Hi mate,

Good to see you. There's a new beta up. Fill your boots.

This looks fascinating.

Does it just generate chords or does it handle chord transposition of existing midi material on the fly?

And are the chord selections automatable?

Looking forward to having a look at this one. If nothing else it looks like a real helper for progression-based composition. Gotta love that! :)

This one's going to be free.

If I can get any interest from the developer community* the full one won't be. Although it won't be expensive.

*One of the reasons for writing this is that I wanted a proof of concept. To progress it needs to be written in c++ or delphi.
If you're a developer everyone's got an idea. Well, this is my idea and if you're up for it PM me.
