That's still a VST (or DX) plugin that generates MIDI... I was referring to the old, almost forgotten, actual MIDI plugins that most modern hosts don't support. you just have to know how to route them ...
option a.] insert xT as a channel insert ...
option b.] set up a midi out channel insert , and set up your ports accordingly ...
Speaking of routing MIDI from a VSTi, Live has this ability now, just added in version 5. Not a moment too soon looks like.
