Automation Curves... err... not actually 'curves'?

I was using the automation curves and CC-Rider (awesome plugin, thanks ModulR) to automate some CC channels in GPO.
In order to get a 'curve', you actually have to draw out a number of points and get a smooth sequence of lines between them. Am I missing something, or is it possible to make curves?
Just thinking about the curves in apps like FLStudio and energyXT (and not to get into an app-comparison pissing contest), you can get a really nicely shaped automation curve with simply 2 points and one variable 'Bezier' control point to regulate the shape of the curve.
Are there any plans to implement proper curves for automation?

I wish also that this could happen. However, a curve is just a series of single points, no? So it shouldn't be too hard in Tracktion to implement, as it would just be a way to curve the lines without having to draw them all in there. But until then, you can just slowly draw them in there, or just move the control and it should still give you the same results, only without the pretty curve.

ttoz the martyr so we can have clip automation! if it comes to that ttoz, i'm very sorry that you'll not be around to make use of it

Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Jules has shown that he knows, at least graphically, how to code curves quite nicely - as evidenced in two places: 1. Fade types available in T, 2. Connectors in Rack filters. Seems like it would be a fairly easy thing to allow a spline connection of the points on automation curves.

Yeah whats up with that? He's saving all the good curves for himself.rockstar_not wrote:Jules has shown that he knows, at least graphically, how to code curves quite nicely - as evidenced in two places: 1. Of course if the scale is db then what look like linear ramps are log curves anyhow....
