Hi,

Boo for the installers. What happened to just the dll version?

Thanks. God Bless.

Aaron.

You guys are great, thanks. These two releases are especially useful. I'd love to see plain DLL downloads too.

Yeah. SpinBug is really nice. I'm in love with you guys

At the end of the day, it's just cleaner and easier to manage if we use installers. As mentioned in other threads, our particular installer is clean as soap, so don't worry about your registries. I can't say that I'd argue with .dll versions, either; however, I test all of our installers before release (one last check of the installer and plug-in) and none of them have ever caused me a headache. With literally hundreds of installs and uninstalls (due to testing) I can say without reservation that it's just as quick or quicker, and is clean.

I don't think we've ruled out .dll downloads completely, but for now it makes our lives a bit easier and the web-space a bit cleaner to just maintain the installer versions.

Cheers for the input! Marybelle, I can get you the phone number of a few of our hunky developers, but you didn't say which of us you're in love with! I'm the best-looking, funniest, most intelligent, and (of course) most humble of the lot; but alas, I am spoken for. ;)

When I press the download button (or try right click-save as...) I only get a php file :help:

Hi Alex, Christian, Greg and all betabuggers. I love the sound of spinbug on my guitar. I had some stability problems with T but I hope it'll be OK with the last version. Gonna try them tonight. So a BIG THANKS for the gifts.

Regarding PhaseBug - a question:

How can the phase shift be measured in degrees (+/- 180) ? ... as far as I can figure, in order for this to mean anything, you would have to know at what frequency this is measured? - I mean, 45 degrees for example, could mean 7 msec at 1 Hz or 0.7 at 10 Hz etc., couldn't it??

Wouldn't it make more sense to just specify the phase shift in milliseconds?

The phase shift is treated as a phasor moving round a unit circle (and going from 0 - 360o). Thats why its in degrees. It makes no sense to have the phase shift in ms..
phase is alvays treated as a degrees, both in maths and audio, because thats the most natural way of looking at it. It has a relationship with the frequency, but not in the way that you are thinking.

If you wanna know more i head over to www.musicdsp.com and check out some of the information on hte FFT (or just google FFT) - that will give you more information..

Thanks for the good explanation Paul :-)
Here's another addon: The thing you meant is group delay. This is measured in milliseconds and is the deviation (by frequency) of the phase.

SpinBug works flawlessly no on my T1.6 setup. Definately a keeper! Thanx guys.

Glad to hear it! She's a beaut. For me, as primarily a documentation guy, it's just as exciting for me to try out 'our' new plug-ins as the developers refine and resubmit them as it is for the public at large to have their first taste. :D

Or in other words, as a non-programmer, it's still a lot of great-sounding and fun magic voodoo for me. <chuckle>

Damn! You really got me with the intelligent thing and then let me CRASH!

Anyway, I'm using the final version of SpinBug wrapped into CE2000 and when I put the LFO to zero, I get this 8000db white noise blast. Is there still some bugs to work out?
