I'm assuming these audio files don't have BWAV stamps? 'cos if they do, and they're appearing at various places (defined by the BWAV stamp) in an editm that'd be entirely expected behaviour.

I think this might be related the the broadcast wave thing... tho I'm not sure. I've been working on some dialog pieces here at work, and they are getting imported like +5 hours down the timeline.. which can make them difficult to find. Mackie are aware of this one me thinks.

weird. Can't say I've ever seen that. Next time it happens, try creating a MIDI clip (CTRl+G I think) and see if that clips goes where it belongs.
It might be that some logic for deciding whether a clip should be inserted at the playhead, after a selected clip, or at some other sometimes useful location, is getting confused.
It probably isn't random in nature, and any clues as to what is happening would likely be useful to Ben for bug reporting purposes.

Yeah, they should be inserted at play head on all situations unless there is a time stamp, in which case they should get imported to the time stamp. In the future we would like to make that optional.
