What do you think?
There are some interesting patches for max/msp using cellular automata.

Fractals have a strangely beautiful quality to them. Is it posible to use fractals to add subtle non-liearities in systems that otherwise sound bland and digital? Maybe room reverb or tube distortion emulation?
Just only some ideas, concepts. My release shedule is full till 2008. So dont expect it to emerge before 2008. But I encourage anyone to do it anyway :)

fractals are not chaotic, but some varieties of chaos can indeed have a fractal underlying schema... fractals are highly regular constructs.

Yes, of course. Everything that calculates on a formula must be regular indeed. But, I am sure you got the point

Try looking at Perlin noise. High dimensional perlin noise could control several parameters in a combined way.
In graphics, 3D perlin noise can model clouds, 4D perlin noise can model clouds varying over time.
So 4D perlin noise could alter 3 FX parameters over time.
Not sure what it would be useful for though!
